Whats Wrong with the Chargers?

The 2023 Chargers find themselves in a hole with just 5 games left on the season, and an outside chance of making the playoffs via wild card spot. But how did they get here? Who's to blame for the disappointment of a team that was on the brink of a Divisional round playoff game just last season.
Its easy to say that the 2022 wild card game against the Jaguars last season, in which the chargers were up 27-0 at half might have left a scar on the minds of the Chargers Organization as a hole. However, that game ending the way it did comes with little surprise to this lifelong Chargers fan.
Games like that now infamous blown lead, have been the story of the Chargers franchise since long before Dean Spanos ever even considered moving the team to Los Angeles. You see, it was never a San Diego problem that led to the Chargers continuously having the [powder] blues. It was always a Spanos problem.
Now there is something to say for Spanos trying to cure the Chargers curse by moving the team out of the City in which they had broken the hearts of fans a countless number of times. But as we've seen since the move to Los Angeles, you can change the location of the team by a mere 124 miles but you can't change how the organization has been run for the last 30 years or so.
So you see, the problem with the 2023 Chargers is so much more than poor Quarterback play, coaching, or drafting of first-round WRs. The problem is that even when the team has had MVP-level quarterback play, or the #1 defense and #1 offense in 2010, or even Air Coryell and one of the most revolutionary offenses of all-time; the story stays the same: Chargers gonna Charger.
